PREPARATION
① TILE: Each player is dealt the same number of tiles which varies depending on the number of players.
(ex. If there are three players, only 9 tiles(1~9) are used and each player is dealt 12 tiles.)
② CHIP: Each player is dealt 4 yellow chips(1 point), 4 green chips(5 point) and 4 red chips(10 point),
regardless of the number of players.
③ Reference Card: Each player holds one reference card.
BASIC RULES
① Put all the tiles facedown and shuffle.
② Put the dealt tiles upright so that the tiles are not shown to other players.
(The lead can freely decide whether to include 'Cloud 3' tile in the first combination or not)
The lead may play any of the following combinations.
- In order to play five tiles(Made), the player must make a combination.
④ The next player must play the same amount of tiles with a higher value.
If there are no tiles to play, the player should 'pass' the turn.
1) If the previous player played Single(1 tile), the next player must play a higher Single.
If there are no tiles to play, the player should ‘pass’ the turn.
2) If the previous player played a Pair(2 tiles), the next player must play a Pair(2 tiles) of higher numbered tiles.
The two tiles must have the same numbers on them.
If there are no tiles to play, the player should ’pass’ the turn.
3) If the previous player played a Triple(3 tiles), the next player must play a Triple of higher numbered tiles.
The three tiles must have the same numbers on them
If there are no tiles to play, the player should ’pass’ the turn.
4) If the previous player played a combination of 5 tiles(Made), the next player must play a higher combination.
The ranking is almost the same as that of the poker hands. (You can check your reference card while playing).
If there are no tiles to play, the player should ’pass’ the turn.
⑤ If all the other players ‘pass‘ their turns, the player who played tile(s) last becomes the 'Lead' and can play
any combination of tiles (whether it is of one tile, two tiles, three tiles, or five tiles).
(It is not possible to make or play a combination of four tiles).
Then, the next player must play the same number of tiles with a higher value.
If there are no tiles to play, the player should ‘pass‘ the turn.
DETAILED RULES
① In LEXIO, 2 is the
strongest number, followed by 1.
Apart from 1 and 2,
the higher the number the stronger the tile.
③ 4 tiles cannot be played at once*
There is no combination of 4 tiles in LEXIO.
So, if you have two "Pair"s, the player can play only one "Pair" at a
time.
In order to play four same-numbered tiles, you must add another
tile to make a 5-tile combination (Four Card).
④ Special function of ‘1’ tile*
In LEXIO, the number ‘1’ can be used as the final(highest) number to make a Straight/Straight flush.
When 3 people play(tiles 1~9 in use), for example, ‘1’ tile can be used as ‘10’ tile.
You can play either <6, 7, 8, 9, 1> combination or <1, 2, 3, 4, 5> combination.
However, you cannot make or play <7, 8, 9, 1, 2> combination.
Only ‘1’ tile can be used after the ‘9’ tile to make a Straight/Straight Flush.
When 4 people play(tiles 1~13 in use), ‘1’ tile can be used as ‘14’ tile.
You can play either <10, 11, 12, 13, 1> combination or <1, 2, 3, 4, 5> combination.
However, you cannot make or play <11, 12, 13, 1, 2> combination.
Only ‘1’ tile can be used after the ‘9’ tile to make a Straight/Straight Flush.
When there are 5 players(tiles 1~15 in use), ‘1’ tile can be used as ‘16’ tile.
You can play either <12, 13, 14, 15, 1> combination or <1, 2, 3, 4, 5> combination.
However, you cannot make or play <13, 14, 15, 1, 2> combination.
Only ‘1’ tile can be used after the ‘9’ tile to make a Straight/Straight Flush.
